  • container veg growing+worm compost?

    hi everyone,

i've had a can-o-worms for years and have a plentiful supply of worm compost.
has anyone successfully used pure worm compost alone in pots to grow veg? would it be too rich?, if i can use it - which veg would it be best for? also - could i use it for starting seeds? if i can't use it alone in pots and wanted to use it as a feed boost - should i mix it through with the other compost or put a layer at the bottom when planting?...or add it later on as a top dressing???????

any thoughts, advice, experiences - it would be great to hear..

    thanks

Am pretty sure that it would be far too rich, I use mine as a soil improver but seem to remember reading something about how you could make your own compost by mixing with coir and something else to make potting compost quality out of it.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

thanks - i'd forgotten about using coir - seems like the best option.
