Fig Seed

OH has given me a seed that came out of a sun dried fig and has asked me if it will grow if planted, and the honest answer is that I don't know.
Does anyone on the vine grow figs, and if it is plantable, what is the best way to go about it?

Kirsty I would put it in a pot of compost - not too deep. Keep it in the kitchen which is probably warmest and water it but don't drown it. You never know it might grow. You have nothing to loose.

If not, they do propagate from cuttings and you will have a faster stock. Just remember to keep them root bound if you want fruit.
