What is wrong with my Peony

Hi,
I purchased a new red peony plant 3 years ago and planted it in a pot. It flowered the next year but the flowers were small and it looked like the pot was getting too small for the plant. So I moved it into a new pot last year and it never flowered last year or this year. I did take care to not plant it too deep but now I am unsure.
Last year I bought a root for a pink peony from my local market and again planted it in a pot and it did not flower last year and not sing of any buds this year. How do I get to the bottom of the rason why my peonies are not flowering. All around me I can see peonies have large buds waiting to burst into flowers and it makes me very sad!

Peonies don't like to be disturbed Reks. If they're moved they sometimes take several years to come back into flower. Try to give them a permanent home and leave them there.

ok...so best option for me is to leave them in that pot for years. they r large pots so should be ok I guess. Btw do they need lots of watering? Thanks for ur repsonse.

Peonies just need to be kept ordinary damp.
Only consolation is if they don't flower the leaves are nice.
I see you say they haven't flowered this year. It's only April. Still plenty of time for them to come. Maybe you'll be lucky. I'm expecting mine to flower in May or June - the usual time. Yours might do it then too.
