hi to all can anyone tell me if mimulas are a perrenial can they go in ground now paid 99p for 6

I think they are usually a half-hardy perennial - they may survive a mild winter but are generally treated as half-hardy annuals (bedding plants) and replaced each year. I'd harden them off gradually, but if they're going in the ground I wouldn't plant them out until the risk of frost has passed.

It's more a question of how cold the nights are likely to be in your neck of the woods now Cheery Tree.

Pop your mimulas outside during the day and bring them in at night for the next 2/3 weeks.

You can't put ANYTHING straight outside if it's spent it's whole life indoors ... you will mudder it.

Plants need to be gradually acclimatised to the outdoors - hardening off - for 7-10 days before they stay outside permanently.

It's not just about temperature - they need to toughen up to winds as well.
