I am a new to growing things. To my suprise my broad beans are doing really well. The instructions on the seed packet told me to pinch out the growing tips to prevent blackfly. Could somebody tell me how to do this and what blackfly looks like. Thanks

Hi SAJ welcome to the madvine.
I did this yesterday it's easy to spot blackfly - they're black I've had a few so had to get it over and done with. At the top of each branck is a cluster of leaves that's the growing tip just pinch just below the cluster and take it off. Make sure you have a good number of flowers on the plant first thoughHayley B
