Parsnip seeds too old?

      I set my parsnip seeds 19 days ago 5 to a roll roll and nothings showing yet, am I too being impatient.
      Location....East Midlands.

        Hi Glutton4,

        You really must thin the parsnips to one per tube or the roots will just twist themselves round each other and you will get nothing that you will be able to use. Get them in the ground asap. I did tham in 3/4 kitchen roll tubes and planted them out at the first leaf stage by which time the root was showing out of the bottom tube.

        Just shows how long the roots are! These were short rooted!!!!!!!!!!!

          A bit too early I would say.its 21-28days for germination.
