    Hello to all

Apart from herbs, I'm hoping to grow potatoes, spring onions, carrots and several varieties of tomatoes (delicious, cherry & plum). What kind of organic fertiliser should I use for the toms. I'm getting some potato fertiliser from B&Q tomorrow...do they do anything suitable ? Also can the above be grown outside or do I need to put them in my not yet purchased plastic walk-in greenhouse

    Thanks

Hi Davetee and welcome to the Grapevine. You can grow all the things you've mentioned outside except for the tomatoes, unless these specifically say they're OK for outside they need to be in a GH or similar. You can buy organic tomato feed in GC'c which do organic, but also have a look at the comfrey thread on Vegging Out on here, you can then make it for nowt. Good luck and enjoy!

Hi Davetee and welcome to the vine. You can buy a potato fertilizer but it tends to be expensive as Blood, fish and bone will do the same job for half the cost.

Just picked up some for potatoes, also a box for toms and peppers - from B&Q. That will get me started. When I become more experienced I can try other things...thanks.
