Just a few pics of my veg patch to be. Once its weed free
Recently done the bit by the shed so we have somewhere to sit now but still a lot to do. Looks like we have a swimming pool from a distance but hopefully it will help with the weeds. Everything is going in pots this year on the slabbed area. Been told my mini greenhouse will be here tomorrow so then it will really take off. Its so frustrating not being able to use the ground area yet but i have resigned myself to the fact i cannot keep up with the weeds as they are, so better in the long run. What you can see is the last area to be done now, the entire garden is 150ft long and divided into three so we haven't done too bad me thinks.

it's clearly going to look lovely!

...when I looked at the little piccies it gave the impression you've also created a small swimming pool!!!!....very inviting!!!! ( think I need some specs!!!)

Its a bit deceiving by the photos but the ground has only been cleared off so all the nettles, thistles and bindweed will soon be back through but i have weedkiller at the ready. I would like to claim all the glory but my fantastic OH does all the heavy donkey work. He said we make a good team as i design and he builds and it turns out well 99% of the time. He is not into gardening at all and quite happy just mowing the grass but i am soooooo different. Me thinks the area could possibly expand later on (but thats hush hush at mo)

tiz looking good chuckles, I firmly believe that part of the challenge of gardening is to slowly take over the Whole garden without the OH noticing........failing that i tell her it was her idea, and what a good idea it was too...lol

Think my OH has just resigned himself to the fact that he might as well do it as i want it now otherwise he will only end up doing it again LOL !!

It looks really good. And with your pots in situ and growing away you will be able to tackle small bits of ground to get weed free ready for raised beds or more permanent beds. That way your 'together project' will be 'ongoing' lol best of luck !

I have raked the soil and planted the seeds
Now I've joined the army that fights the weeds.

Wow! I was amazed at the rows of dalek compost bins too! We have two - one came wit garden the other given by a friend - I thought we were bad!

Saw the chookie house too! You getting chookies to ruin your garden too?

We used to have chooks and ducks but sadly no more. There are two houses which are both on ebay at the mo, if anyone is interested !!
With a 150ft garden there is more than enough to fill the bins, especially as one third of it is all flower garden and a lot of grass. Sitting here waiting for my mini greenhouse to be delivered so i can really get cracking.
