You shouldn't need to take anything off tumbling toms as they are bush type. The only time I take growth off is if they get a bit unruly or at the end of the season to get light to some of the fruit covered by leaves.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
As Alison says leave them on. You can prune them if they start to get out of hand, but it's a bushy variety, the size of the crop will depend upon its bushiness, the more growth, the more toms.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
Thanks. Its just that low down there are long branches that do not look like they are going to do anything - higher up there are trusses forming. I just wondered if removing the lower leaves might concentrate more energy to the fruits etc.
