here I am again with more questions...

I have a raised bed which is 2mtrs x 1 mtr the back mtr square is deeper than the front, can anyone tell me how much top soil I would need to fill my bed

Seriously though, you don't need to fill it right away. Just add to it gradually over the years, with well-rotted compost and manure.

You need to supply a measurement for the depth !!!!

But since it is two depths divide it into two haves of 1m x 1m and measure the average depth in metres.

So if the back bit is about 8 inches deep that would be about 20cm or 0.2 metres.

Then multiply 1m by 1m = 1 square metre.
Then multiply by the depth 0.2m = 0.2 cubic metres.

1 cubic metre is also 1000 litres so multiply 0.2 by 1000 = 200 litres.


In summary, multiply the width by the length then by the depth then by 1000 and the answer is litres.
