  • twisted Sweetcorn stems

    Hi,
Few of my sweetcorn seedlings have twisted stems as I had the cling film on the pots when I put them aside to germinate and wasn't around to remove the cling when they did germinate. So end result twisted shoots. I sowed another batch but kept these on and they have 4 green leaves now.

Do you think I will be ok planting these with twisted stems out in a week or so?
    cheers Reks

Have a go - what can you lose except a bit of space?

Yeah, I would do, so long as you have room for them all. Plants want to grow after all, and they may straighten themselves up a bit once they're out

If they don't seem to be straightening up but look like they're going to set cobs, tie them to a stick.
