Values emerald potato

Hi All,
I received my T&M free potato patio grower today and they sent me a early variety called Values Emerald. Question I have is that since the season for earlier is over, could I store these for use next year. If yes then what is the best place and what do I keep in mind to ensure that the potatoes are in best condition for next year?

What are my mates on this forum who received the potatoes late as me planning to do?

Unless you have an air conditioned refrigerator you aint going to store them so take a chance and get them planted, there are people that plant their earlys in Feb and others wait till Paddy's day so there is no time set in stone for planting spuds.

There should be no problem putting the spuds in now, they have plenty of time to mature and produce tubers. You will have the fortune of ending up with early potatoes in September.

Your potatoes are Vales Emerald, they're a first early, which means they need 10-13 weeks to grow a crop. There's plenty of time to get them planted for this year.

So does it mean that I could plant it a little later too? As long as I plant it before July I will be able to harvest in Sept.

Yup, as long as you'll have them harvested before the first frosts, they should be fine.
