Too late for shallots and garlic?

Hi,
Was planning to plant shallots and garlic this weekend, am I very very late? I am trying supermarket garlic (just a trial) and some shallots I bought last month.

If you've got space available give it a try as you've got nowt to lose! I too have some shallots I was going to try planting. I already have two lots in. Some I planted last autumn and some in February.....we'll just have to see what a may planting brings together Reks!
I've still got Zebrune torpedo shallots I grew from seed to plant out also!

I've just bought some reduced shalot & onion sets that will go in at the weekend...the onions 'll probably plant closer together than normal & use for pickling.
Not sure about your garlic,but it will definately do better planted than left to rot...so give it a go!
