a bit early but......

i'm a newbie to this ut trying to plan ahead and going on the addage that the only stupid question is the one you don't ask ...! can i plant my xmas tatties in the same bed my earlies came out of or do i need to plant eslewhere?

Killiemum, whereabouts are you?
Ideally potatoes should not be grown in the same soil as previous potatoes for fear of passing on anything nasty, and the previous spuds will have taken the nutrients.
As far as Christmas spuds go, unless you are in a very warm part of the country?? then for most of us it's a question of saving a few of our earlies, planting them in sacks or pots in July/August and placing them in a greenhouse as soon as it starts to get cool enough to worry about frost, or may be even earlier, say September.
