I planted up my garlic into pots in about the middle of October (too early?). It's now got shoots 12 to 18 inches high. I though it was meant to be getting on with growing roots now. I've read other people saying there's hasn't come up yet but that's ok as it's doing roots
I had planned on planting some of it out into the garden when the space came available from clearing annuals out when they got too manky. However, now it's got so tall would I be better off leaving it in the mini greenhouse till spring? I mean, I know it's hardy, but it's got lots of new green growth - would that be at risk from frost? Or should I go with the original plan and get it in the ground?
oh, and slimers ate my chard.
