Several of my purple topped milan turnips have gone to seed. They were planted at the beggining of April. One of the beds they were in doesnt get much soun could this be the problem? What can I do to avoid this next year

Could be. My parsnips have done the same and some are in shade. Could be lack of enough water. If a plant is struggling to survive, it will often go to seed to guarantee the next generation. Probably a cleverer viner will give you a better answer.There's pleasure sure in being mad that only madmen know - Anon
