  • tiny white moths on strawberries

    hello,

I am very new at this grow your own game and decided to grow some strawberries this year.

I have today noticed a few very tiny (smaller than greenfly size) white moth like insects flying around the strawberries.

can anyone tell me what these are and if they are harmfull?

    Cheers
    Jo

    Sounds like whitefly to me.

If you lift up the leaves are they hiding on the undersides?
They suck sap from out of the leaves, so you don't really want them.

I just try and squish as many as I can.
They don't like water, so if you squirt the undersides of the leaves that can help.

Joanne, are your strawberries in a greenhouse?

If so, put them outside x

          sorry for the late reply

husband took me to 5 star hotel for our wedding anniversary.

no strawberries are already outside, still killing the little blighters
