Spotted blight on a couple of toms when I went to bed Wed. night and determined to sort it Thurs. morning. Surprise visit from no.1 child and 3 boys, after lunch take OH to Doc., look at it as soon as we were back. The blight had gone through the plants like a dose of salts. Is it too late to spray them with Bordeau or suggestiopns for something else, please.

Spotted 2 tom plants with blight last night about 100feet apart!
It's mostly on the actual toms- but signs on the leaves would have been overlooked if it hadn't shown on the fruit..will certainly be spraying today
looks like green chutney this year then!
I'd collect your fruit now if yours is really bad- the fruit will taste strange ( ie be wasted) if it's showing brown splodges on the skin.
I've stewed and frozen green toms in the past- and they're fine added to stews .
Frustrating isn't it? At least my spuds look like they've just missed it ( fingers crossed)"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Location....Normandy France

It's too late to spary them. I left some toms on some plants that didn't seem to be affected too badly [maybe a blotch on the stem] but now all the toms are infected and I've missed my chance to save the green ones for something else.
I'd heartily reccomend the special green tomato chutney in the recipes section. I've never eaten it before but it's really really good.
