Hi all.
Bit stuck, and I'm hoping someone more knowledgeable than me can help! I've recently bought a house with a hideous conifer hedge, which I've had to brutally cut back. (It may or may not regrow, I'm not too bothered if it doesn't, but will need to replant it with something else). Now, I have a plant vaguely in mind, but alas I can't remember what it was called or even really what it looks like! It's a greenish hedging plant, and it smells wonderful. (Can't be sure whether it was foliage or leaves that smelled so nice, but I don't think it was privet...) Other than that, I'm pretty much guessing. Does anyone have any guesses / ideas at all as to what my ideal hedging plant may be?
(The smell is so strong that you get wafts of it on summer evenings, and you can't really tell where it's coming from, so you have to follow your nose only to discover it's the hedge!)
