I have been told that I should now prune my lithodora as it has stopped flowering. Is this corrrect and how far should I prune it?

I had one of these in our old garden (gorgeous colour by the way!) but I don't think I ever pruned it. If you want to, I'd just tidy it up a bit.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
