newbie looking for advice

hi people,

i hope we are all well,

I moved into my new property in august, so havent really managed to get anything in the ground other than salad leaves and spinach

Ive dug a 2m x 2m section up and have added horse manure, ive also got the borders prepared for beans and other tall growing plants.

Ive found the info online to be a bit confusing considering this is the first time ive tried doing this.

I just want some one to tell me what to do and when

I need it to beeasy this year whilst i develop my knowledge

Don't expect to manage a 100% success on your first attempt. I only started in April and about 70% of my veg was successful. Just think of what you really want to grow, read how much space it needs, and plant away. You'll discover what grows well in your soil and what does, what you enjoy growing and what you don't and after the first year you'll have a better idea what to grow another time.

It's hard for others to advise you on what to plant because everyone likes different things and gets enjoyment from different plants.
Bear in mind that it's probably too late in the year to plant anything new now, but you can prepare your beds for next year. Personally I will be sowing my first seeds under cover in January and planting in my bed in early March. A greenhouse, polytunnel or coldframe will allow you to start earlier.

^ they do, don't they? Anything they have on sale can be planted now.

unless you mean seeds... you need to check the back of the pack for when to sow.

What I would do is buy the seeds that I want, then organise them into a monthly divider system: one of those expanding folders is great
