    LJ,
Just out of interest whats the logic behind this or is it something all mags do?

I haven't got a clue! All magazines do this.

Yes, when I started I got very confused about this and I got into a panic thinking I was late with everything.
Now I read the new magazine as a guide to things to come and hoick out the previous edition read it again and use that as a checklist for the current month.
I work on a magazine and it drives you mad at times, we work six months ahead so I'm well into the summer now and then spend summer working on Christmas...

The theory goes that if a consumer sees a magazine in the newsagent dated the same month as the real month he assumes it is an 'old' magazine, because that is what he is now conditioned to think.

Has anyone actually seen the show live? I saw it many years ago at the Blackpool Grand - to see Nicholas Parsons in fishnet stockings and high heels was a sight that will remain with me for the rest of my days!! Dexterdog

Saw it first at the old Davenport Theater in Stockport when I was a teen, then again a couple of times at the Palace, the last time in 2000! Last time I went in full dress, black basque and stockings, high heels and a long black coat, took the coat off inside the theter, then ended up going out down Manchester in just my basque and stockings, had a really good night, but never been hit on by so many guys in oe night before! lol!

When we went to Blackpool, I got "all dressed up a la RHS" and thought I looked the business. Boy, when I saw everyone else in the theatre - I looked normal! What a show! What a night! Still waiting for it to come back to the NW! - Hey! perhaps if it does come back, we could have a night out? LOL! Dexterdog - if we could take Bella and Dexter we could dress them up as well!

What's the Royal Horticultural Society got to do with it then??????? Dressed up like that, is that gardening gloves and wellies with your basque etc?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Oh Mrs D - that made me laugh. You need to do am dram!

Dates of mags - I must admit I find it a bit annoying, particularly as at the beginning of the growing year I'm also another month behind that. So at the moment I'm still reading December!
Gardners World recently made a decision to claw back their magazine to the actual month and I wondered whether others will follow. It seems to be the same for all magazines, even craft magazines, I've just bought February's edition!

I hate the way they're a month behind! As by the time I get to the right month I can never find the blimin magazine! Drives me nuts.

Do you know I was wondering the exact same thing. The GYO mag says Feb but it only arrived a couple of days ago!! At least thats sorted now, know that I'm not that far behind!! As for the Time Warp, have just dug out my 7" vinyl !! and it brings back very horrible memories of dancing to it at a nightclub in my youth!!! My kids wanted to know how to fit it in the CD player!!
