i planted some cantaloupes from seeds in a rectangular pot last week luckily it germinated quite well in just 5 days but am not quite sure about how many plants should be placed in such a pot size here is a picture of what i got till now.
I wondered at first why plant melons now, then realised where you are. Cantaloupe melons grow into quite large plants, I would wonder if your pots are big enough for even one plant, they do not look very deep. How large are they?
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
Now a little Shrinking Violet.
One, maybe two plants. They'll need feeding and watering lots so the bigger the pots the better they'll cope and develop fruit. Looks like there is room for more soil too to give more room for roots.
1 or 2 plants max in that tub and compost needs to be deeper.....are you planning to grow them up a frame or trellis? Think tomato plant size I reckon, though of course it depends upon variety.
