i planted some cantaloupes from seeds in a rectangular pot last week luckily it germinated quite well in just 5 days but am not quite sure about how many plants should be placed in such a pot size here is a picture of what i got till now.

I wondered at first why plant melons now, then realised where you are. Cantaloupe melons grow into quite large plants, I would wonder if your pots are big enough for even one plant, they do not look very deep. How large are they?I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

1 or 2 plants max in that tub and compost needs to be deeper.....are you planning to grow them up a frame or trellis? Think tomato plant size I reckon, though of course it depends upon variety.Geordie

but is it OK to trim the extra plants wont they grow up again.
