I know a lot of grapes are interested in how soon they can get their seeds planted and there will be a lot of questions about what happens next after seeds are germinated. Thinking about this it seems to me there is nothing like learning from your own experience and hands on practise. So,
I would say - ALL NEWBIES PLANT SEEDS NOW . Any kind of seeds - a tomato, a courgette, a runner bean, some lettuce - anything you are interested in and have a few seeds to spare.
You will run into every problem there is and see all your mistakes.
At the end of it, what you planted will probably go on the compost heap (but hey, they are your babies and maybe you can get them through) and I think you will have learned more than any book can tell you .
When it comes time for your real planting, you won't be a Newbie. You'll have done it all before.
Who wants to plant seeds.
