what can I do with it?

Can I use it to fill my raised beds I am making, if I mix it with the top soil already there?

Or is it only good for mulching the garden plants with?

Or maybe something else?

Yes it can go on beds and borders

You can use it in the bottom of a container topped up with fresh stuff (eg carrots as per this months GYO magazine..).

I sieve out my used stuff to get rid of the larger rooty bits and generally scatter it around the back garden or use it for something fairly undemanding like salads, topped up with some fresh stuff.

Definitely fine for carrots which don't need too much feed or they'll fork. I often mix it with new compost for such like. Or top dress or fill up raised beds.

Are slug eggs like mini pearls? I found lots of whatever they were in one compost bag last year. I wasn't sure what to do with them, so left them

Very white pearls. You can get yellowish pearls in compost that are slow release fertiliser. If it's fresh conmpost, that's likely to be what they are.

Yes, and in a cluster. A bit sticky, as you'd expect from a slug

Can compost that's been used for potatoes be used on a raised bed for things like cabbages, cauliflower and carrots?

Can't see why not. It shouldn't be used for tomatoes as they are in the same family and susceptible to the same diseases. However I've occasionally earthed up spuds with the soil from the greenhouse border and got away with it. I wouldn't have done if the toms had had blight.

if it was used for pots last year,you could use it to grow radish/lettuce etc,i used mine to get a good crop of perpetual strawberries,after putting a big handful of chicken pellets and watering them in,leaving the compost for a couple of weeks before using.had a fantastic crop until mid november,will spread it on one of the raised beds,which means it has had 3 years of use,i can live with that.
