      Tetanus

Tetanus used to be traditionally associated with horses and horse muck.
I believe modern vaccination policy is now that one does not need to keep boosters up to date.
Anyway be aware of the symptoms, as any gardener should, and look out for any cuts, scratches or abrasions.

This is not a specific advice for horse doings, but a general gardening safety issue.
Always thank people who have helped you immediately, as they may not be around to thank later.
