    Thanks everyone, your advice is so helpful!
    There are so many pitfalls to look out for that your advice is a god send!
    We plan to keep things as natural as posible, so it looks like diggin and covering over what we dont need is the way forward.
    sorry i cant thank everyone individualy for there help, i use the computer in work and ill either get told off or taken the piss out off for being a 24yr old gardener!
    Sod em!!!! let them eat there supermarket rubbish, i know some people who dont even know where peas come from????

        We are the next generation,
        i havent been able to do much on my lottie yet but i can tell that i will make sure that wherever i move in the future it has got to have an allotment in the area or have a bloody big garden!
        i cant get over how addictive it is, my family think ive gone mad!
        i can see that im gonna get addicted to the grapevine too!

              Buttercup, thick cardboard is my suggestion, and if you know any florists near by they tend to have a lot of cardboard kicking around. DH gets his flowers delivered in boxes the size of small coffins and there's just a couple a big copper staples to remove. No tape!
