I discovered this growing on my plot today. I think (and hope!) it's rhubarb. Am I right?

When we moved into our house we were young and naive in such things. OH came into kitchen and said. "I've found some nasty looking fungus growing in the garden. So I've covered it so's the dog doesn't eat it"
So then my mum toddled off up the garden to inspect the said fungus and came back crying with laughter.
Yep you guessed ........it was rhubarb.S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig

Wish mine was like that, however as it was grown from seeds a month ago I think I have a long wait.

Yep, it jolly well is and it will thank you for a bucket of well rotted compost of any sort. Mine is a fairly late variety - it's not even peeping through, but the 2 crowns produce far more than we can eat, make jam from or freeze in a season, so that I end up giving sticks to some of the local old ladies (even older than me, that is!)Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
