I am about to start my indoor sowing with some of the seeds I have been donated by some very generous grapes. I am panicking because it is nearly March (where did February go?) and I haven't started yet, and I know lots of you started sowing in January.
I have now managed to collect 3 small heated propogators and 1 unheated one, some full size, half size and quarter size seed trays to go in them, and some full size tray inserts with individual modules, one pack of rootrainers, about 100 loo-roll and kitchen-roll tubes and hundreds of little pots. (Oh, and my draughty unheated greenhouse). I've been reading the 'what to sow this month' thread but am still a bit confused about the best conditions for each type of seed.
The seeds I am planning to sow now are:-
Broad beans
Peas
Tomatoes
Chilli peppers
Onions
Leeks
Cauli
Spring onions
Can anyone please advise me which seeds I should plant where to give them the best chance of survival? Do you just sow a few of each now, then repeat the sowings again in a few weeks time?
Also, how does multiple sowing work? Does this just mean that you don't thin them out - do you separate them when you plant them out or just plant them in clumps?
Is there anything else I should be sowing indoors now?
Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance!
