Hi all,
I have/had a (musa sikkimensis) Himalayan banana that is out side in the garden and was "supposed" to be hardy. It got frosted before the weather went crazy and didn't look too good so I covered it completely with straw and covered the straw with a big pot with a paver on top to stop it getting blown away.
I have just uncovered it to assess the damage and basically found a bunch of mush!
Q; Is my banana an Ex Banana or would the roots have survived and will it "pop" back up as the weather improves. Damn thing was hard enough to grow from seed in the first place!
Any comments welcome,
Graham K.
