The shed in my garden is waiting to become a studio when it grows up!
Here it is in winter - all I need is the little potbellied stove and the chimney.
And to get rid of all the junk. It sits behind raised beds made from sleepers.

You have to loose sight of the shore sometimes to cross new oceans

i have lots of lovely sage coloured raised beds in my garden, made out of retired scaffolding boards that have done there time on building sites and are now resting(eleven beds to be acurate). they are not perfectly straight or leval but they are my way and i love them!! just a bit of advice on the slab wood, check how much sap wood is on them it rots pretty quick! when i used to run a band rack saw we were always told to not leave too much good timber on the slabs..
totally mad on growing veg and keeping bantams!!!!

Maybe I should just delete the whole thread then?

Yes, a few opinions are missing from this afternoon, but the stuff that's still here is useful.

Not at all Sarz, If comments are relevent to the original post then it's useful.

We now have half a thread commenting on the fact that posts have been removed. That's not contributing an awful lot to the advice for the OP is it?!

P/P., if you have a comment to make on my moderating decisions, a PM would be the appropriate place for that. Thanks

Well done you - I have just achieved the same result with my OH saying I can remove ALL the 'lawn' from our STB new military patch - whoop

Mind you, it is so small that it would take him longer to take out the lawn mower, plug it in than it would to cut the grass

Just about to start getting the allotment sorted into raised beds now and over the next few weekends- the timber is going to be painted with fence paint to make it last longer -as it was quite an investment! Just wondering if I should line the sides with plastic too- anyone got any suggestions?

I've put some of that cheap plastic lawn edging round the inside of one of my beds, because I had it handy and thought I'd try it. It works to protect the wood a bit, but, because it's wavy edged, weeds can come up between it and the wood which is a pain!! So, if I did it again, I'd use something I could staple to the top of the wood to prevent that from happening
