    hi everyone

im starting fresh this year after taking up gardening last summer and everything going wrong.

after spending all winter reading magazines and speaking to the bloke at work who has grown for years im raring to go.

only trouble is i think ive become impatient and started trying to to sow loads all ready

    ive done

7 chilli plants now into bigger pots on south facing window sill
12 all the year round lettuce plants
1 sweet pepper plant potted on californian wonder
    2 ambassidor courgettes
12 tomato potted on gardeners delight
a tray of strawberry plants from my uncle
2 kelveldon wonder peas in a large pot growing up
    rocket
    parsley

is this to much will they all die

last nights minimum tempreture outside in ipswich suffolk was 7.8 c and maximum yesterday was 15.6 c

any advise and help would be appreaciated

You should be OK with that. I would sow more peas though, 2 plants will give you about 1 meal's worth. You will need to provide some protection such as cloches for the courgettes, tomatoes, peppers and chillis as you will have to plant them out before the last frost (end of May).

Don't forget to sow some more lettuce in about 2-3 weeks time.

Hi sounds like a good selection to me. The good thing is as it is still early if anything does fail you still have some time to sow again

Do this mean you have sown these seeds outside?

The proof of the growing is in the eating.
        Leave Rotten Fruit.

Chillies actually like having their roots constricted a bit: don't pot on until they're desperate

These can all be put outside once they've germinated

These should be indoors for another month

These should be indoors. You'll find they grow very big very quick: I'm not sowing mine for another 3 weeks or so

Where are you planning to grow them to maturity? Do you have a garden, greenhouse, lottment, or what?

hello thanks for all your help and advise

7 chilli plants now into bigger pots on south facing window sill
only potted on when the roots were visable out of the bottom of the pot

12 all the year round lettuce plants these are in pots in a unheated greenhouse

1 sweet pepper plant potted on californian wonder this is inside unheated green house

2 ambassidor courgettes these are outside in my raised bed with clear plastic boxes over but there dying i think

12 tomato potted on gardeners delight in the unheated greenhouse

a tray of strawberry plants from my uncle these are out side in a old ammo tray

2 kelveldon wonder peas in a large pot growing up outsiode in large pot

              rocket
              parsley both outside

              more details there

the 2 courgettes were only from two seeds i have got plenty more there taking up lots of room so might chuck them and start again when its warmer in buckets leaves room free in my raised bed

Rocket and parsley would probably appreciate the bottle cloches or being in unheated house....usual tell its time once annual weeds start germinating.

Toms... I'd still bring those in at night from the unheated house.

yes, it's much too cold for them outside at the moment. It's usual to sow them in April and plant out in May
