Hi, I had the same question really. For the effectiveness of this. Don't know if you found it out for yourself. Or moved on to another product. But anyway. For someone with the same question:

here's my B&Q soil ph test with vinegar in, instead of soil.

What I was wondering though, if anyone's still around. is a soil ph of 8 okay? because that seems to be what I got. the solution didn't really change colour. I don't want to grow vegetables, just shrubs, ferns & grasses

Rowan; what does the test say on tap water?

pH of 8 is rather high; ideally you are looking for 6.5

I've never done a pH test, and my veg grows just fine
