I am growing peas for the first time this year. I started them off in modules and then potted them on into 10cm pots. How long can they stay in there for? I'm just concerned that if I leave them in there too long it will cap their growth.

You can get them in the ground now. I wouldn't have bothered potting them on as they don't like their roots disturbed. The main reason for germinating them in modules or gutters is to prevent the mice eating them if you sow direct.

Straight out into the ground from your modules, I'd say, making sure you've given them a week or so of being outside in the day and back in at night so they don't get too much of a shock. Being as you have already potted them on, just make sure you harden off as suggested, and they will be fine outside. Mine have had snow on them earlier in the year.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

I still think it's too early for courgettes! You've got time to re-sow them. Mine won't go in till towards the end of April. They can't go out here till nearly June.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
