  • cucmber questions

    Hi I have some cucumber(Burpless F1) growing in cardboard tubes they have started to flower when can i plant them outside or have i sown them too early?

    Too early to put them outside :-(

    Ideally not before risk of night frost has passed, about Mid May where I live, probably a bit earlier down south.

      would it be wise to pot them on into bigger pots?

        Yes, I would think potting them on into larger pots is probably the best way to go as they probably wont make it in the cardboard tubes. If you have any seeds left it would be prudent to resow a few in a couple of weeks just cover yourself. :-)

            Only the existing ones of course, then if your variety produces male flowers (not one I grow so I'm not sure) you should nip those out as well leaving just the female flowers to produce cucs.
