  • Ash mistake, advice needed

I've made a very basic mistake and I'm kicking myself over it.

I put wood ash over my potato bed, my strawberries, raspberries.... god knows what else I shouldn't have done.

Is there anything I need to do correct this situation, or is the best thing to just leave well alone.

I do have some bags of quite well rotted leaf mould, which may help, or pine needles are easy to come by here?

I wouldn't worry. I scatter our garden bonfire ash over the veg beds ages before I decide what's going in.

Oh Dear....I always scatter bonfire ash around my raspberries

If it's any consolation I usually get a fair few fruits

It's particularly good for fruits I think.

            Promotes potato scab apparently.

I might have been wrong about the raspberries, it seems to be good for them.
