  • Identification help please???

Can anyone tell us what this is (pic attached)?
I'm gradually working may way around our very mature (new to us) garden, trying to cut back and revive what I can, as everything has been left to do its own thing for the last few years. Found some lovely surprises hiding in the undergrowth! It's a race against time now for this year, but great fun.
If anyone recognises this, please let us know. It's about head height and currently really straggly.

It looks like a member of the prunus family to me - but then they all do this time of year. Could you post a picture of the leaves - front and back - that may help.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

It would be better to have a piccie of the leaves on the tree as then you can see how they are arranged on the branch.
Try looking up Rowan Tree - the leaves don't look like Prunus species
