Buttercup - behave yourself! As I mentioned before, worrying too much does no good, and little woolly socks for garlic will only impede their absorbtion of sunshine (when we get it)!!

Shirl, don't beat yourself up so much. Garlic will survive, and reading the vine all day is about all I can manage some days. I'm sure you have ups and downs, and will be able to make progress when the sun shines a bit more. meanwhile ease down girl and be proud of what you have achieved. Hang in there and please keep breathing !

Please can we have some bulbs, or seeds, I'd love to scatter them all over the plots. When we started the old boys told us that garlic didn't grow on our lotties, but we have 3 beds doing fine now, just have to see what we get at the end of the season!

MB is quite right - don't be so hard on yourself - if growing veg was as easy as all the books and magazines made it look, this and other forums and magazines would have a lot less to say.
Just relax, "grow with the flow" and enjoy yourself.

Thanks guys - didn't realise I was being particularly hard on myself - just see the pack of garlic sitting here and asking to be planted and I just don't seem to be able to actually get out there and plant it! I am sure it will keep till next year though.
