blackcurrant advice please

I have two small bare rooted blackcurrant bushes ( bargain at a £1 each)
Do i pot them and wait till they are a bit bigger or should i put them straight in the ground where they are to grow?

Well if it were me I'd put them straight in their permanent place. Make sure you leave plenty of space between them - they will grow! And it never hurts to have a good mulch of organic matter - home made compost is fine.

Agree with Flum. (I dare do no other). But do realise it may take 2 or 3 years for them to fruit. (I know. If they were from a pound shop, I've got the T-shirt.)
