red peppers in pots

my red pepper seedlings are going to need transplanting soon - what size pot do people suggest to grow them in or are grow bags better?

Do I need to raid B&Q for more buckets??

I pot them up into 3-5" pots then when they are about 4-6" tall, I put them in their final buckets of ~10". I usually put 2 or 3 per bucket as I have sown too many and can't bring myself to throw them away.

I often grow mine in pots and gradually plant up to a single plant in a 10" pot. Most of mine are in 5" ones at the moment.

Last year I grew mine in pots but this year I'm trying them in grow bags in the GH.

I find that grow bags don't have the depth of soil for very much except may be salad stuffs so if I use them I put a bottomless ring on top and fill up with compost by which time I'd probably be as good just using a pot.

10" pots here too. I seriously dislike growbags. Except to nick the soil from and fill up your pots. As Alison says, they are too shallow.

Although you can also use grow bags cut in half and stood on their ends. Makes for 2 deep pots which is OK.

Alison, I do exactly that, and find that the depth is fine for pepper plants and sometimes even tomato plants.
