Hi, please excuse me if im talking complete twoddle, but i have only been growing veg for less than a year, and, at the moment seem to be doing ok I think. I made the fatal mis-take of sowing every packet of tom seeds i could lay my hands on,and yep you guessed it every one grew! So i swopped plants gave some away etc, and im growing the rest in my 10 x 8 poly greenhouse. There just starting to get the first truss on and in 2 weeks im going on holiday for a week,I was wondering if anyone can recommend an irrigation system or a way to keep them hydrated for a week.

I'm here most days and having trouble keeping my greenhouse plants hydrated every day - let alone for a week.
If they are in pots, could you leave them outside the greenhouse for the time you are away, in case we get a major heatwave like the last few days? Or bring some indoors to the bathroom and put an old towel in the bath, soak that and put the toms onto that for the week, to try and hedge your bets.Last edited by zazen999; 23-05-2010, 08:28 AM.
