Everyone at the lottie keeps telling me we're a month behind this year...so long as winter knows the new schedule,you may just be OK

No way is it too lat for marketmore,but if you have polytunnel or greenhouse I'd sooner give them a chance to get going in there for a month or so. If we get a summer (ha ha),then they will catch up outdoors for sureComment

I've sown cucs at this time of year before when I've had mishaps with the other crops. You should be fine although they will start fruiting a bit later.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

I've just bought and resown some this week after ours didn't survive the move to outdoors, they were fine whilst being hardened off but not being planted in our planters. Fingers crossed we have more luck with the new batchComment

I actually planted 2 seeds in a growbag over the bank holiday weekend and used the ol' plastic bottle greenhouse trick. Both are up, growing well and looking healthy.
Less than 2 weeks later shouldn't make a lot of difference.

They grow germinate and grow fast. But sadly two of them were eaten by slugs or snails.
I am thinking of trying Gerkhins but I think they may be too late. But do they grow faster than cucumbers typical?Comment
