Take care on how much seed you sow - it is too easy in the early days to sow a whole packet at once

The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just on the body, but the soul.

              Mulch as much as possible.

With straw, grass, wood shavings, whatever you can get your hands on. Helps smother weeds, keeps the moisture in and if organic will rot down and improve the soil. Also will probably mean getting less mud on your hands. Win, win, win, win!

Label all the seeds you sow. You WON'T remember!
Plants WANT to grow. Your main task is not to prevent them!

Don't give up. Not everything grows well every year, but you will have some successes and (hopefully a few) failures. Keep trying, and enjoy yourselves.

Keep good notes of what you've done so you can repeat what went well and do it differently if it didn't work next year.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Do not plant any plants to close together if you want stuff to grow to a decent size give them room to grow it is also easier when weeding as well....jacob
