I think that at Ryton's potato day they were selling them at 15p/spud - worth looking to see if there are any more spud days out there as they've got to be best for variety and value.

Plus you get to meet a load of lottie anoraks at the same time!

Cant get over the fact that some allotments have a bar! The nearest we get is the occassional barbeque in the communal area, which is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Beer!)

Taylorlej, you should be able to get either packs with about 5 of one variety of seed potato for around £1-£1.99 in garden centres, I got a potful of 4 different loose varieties (about 22 spuds in total) for £1.99 from a garden centre when they had a potato day a few weeks ago. Some of the mail order companies who do potato bags & tubs sell selection refill packs for about £4.95 too, try Marshalls, Unwins etc.
