there were some new plots being offered to some people on the waiting list, there were 2 left, not able to let because of the work needed to clear them.

So they reached me, and I took it with open arms, and thought it may take a couple of months to clear, as I can only get down there at week ends, but it looks like being ready in a couple of weeks, as a really kind person helped me clear loads of it yesterday and we will rotavate in the next couple of days. Feel like a kid in a sweet shop.I am going to grow my big crops up there , potatoes, leeks , parsnips runner beans.

That's brilliant marion. And at a great time of year too. You've got time to plant and reap.

    Enjoy!

It's amasing how much you can get done at the allotment just by utilising weekends alone!
Readying the areas you are going to need first, planting them up and readying the next area as the first crop are starting to grow is quite theraputic!

The beauty of it is that once the ground work is done, the ongoing maintenance is a doddle!
