  • Yipee I got an allotment

    Hi all,

I finally got myself an allotment. I am so chuffed.

Its less than a mile from my house, 100 metres from the seafront for seaweed and 10 metres from stables for free manure

Its not that overgrown either and overlooks Portchester Castle.

What a result, how lucky is that?

What are you doing on line, then - get out there in the rain and get digging!!!

Delighted for you, Fezinio - it looks fabulous from the pic! Post lots more as you get going, (or a blog) so we can all see how you get on!

        Many Thanks

Hey I would be out there trust me but talk about the change in weather.

Its absolutely bucketing down. Even the site manager told me to get off home and dry myself off. He went home sharpish too.

Can't wait to get stuck in now. Fantastic

Brilliant news Fezino! Hope you have as much fun planning and putting your plans into operation as we have in doing ours!

What are your plans? Raised beds or not, shed or no shed, fruit area or not? Inquiring minds want to know!

I'll second that Fezinio - All you need now is a shed at the end with a window in, a comfee chair & a gas stove & kettle then you sit in the shed & drink tea whilst it rains - Winner
