Sunshine! On a Sunday no less!

So, come on fellow newshoots... what have you all been doing with this beautiful autumn day?
I`ve cut the front hedges, weeded the autumn veg plots, cut back two overgrown elder trees, cleared the junk corner, made some lush nettle and potato soup and am about to settle down to watch the goodwood revival on ITV4.
All in, not a bad day

How did you make the soup, sounds interesting

The OH and me have spent a lovely day at the lottie. General weeding tidying , manuring etc. Flask of tea and some bargain sarnies from Asda ...Perfick

stella - its really easy.
gently fry some garlic and finely chopped potato, then add a pint of whatever stock you have to hand and about a colanders worth of nettle tops (just the nice tender stuff from the top of the plnts really). Whizz it up with a blender and add either cream or a spoon of cream cheese. Takes all of 5 minutes.
Also works as nettle and leek - just swap the potatoes for leeks obviously
