White Fly

I've read lots about white fly being a problem in green houses but I have loads in my brassica bed on my allotment i.e. outside. Should I be worried about them?

Just to clarify - glasshouse whitefly are not the same as cabbage whitefly.

FYI, if you do use powdered chillis and the like in your sprays, remember that flecks of it might appear on the plants. Otherwise you might panic and spray like mad and google 'tiny orange specks pest plants' etc in order to identify the terrifying horde.....
