Poundland!

Hi All,

Got the tip off from another tread on here (sorry i cant remember which one hence the new tread) Poundland have started to get their 'seasonal' range in

i got 2 raspberry canes and 2 blueberry plants today for.....yep £4

they also have a load of 'grow your own' veg sets and lots of flowers and tools too

seed potatoes and onion sets were in the one in town too (but not in the one i went to today so they must be to limited stores only)

Deffo worth a browse if you have one close by

Went to mine yesterday and very little in. I am looking for a blueberry so will try again tomorrow

I'm waiting for the blueberry to arrive in store too. Plenty of everything else, but no blueberry bushes yet.

Did get some lilies and dahlias though. Love my Poundland, get great results as long as you get your plants good and early before they've had a chance to die in the shop warmth.

Thanks Amy. Did they have seeds in yet? We've got a Poundland in the town I work. Might check it out tomorrow as the garden centre were still waiting on their seed delivery.

Yes ours had allsorts in, I got some sweetcorn seeds (after misplacing mine from last year during a house move booo)

Although I did go to 2 different stores and both had different stuff in

Was real chuffed with my blueberries, I've wanted one for ages but they are quite pricey on the t&m website

I picked up 3 blueberry plants & 2 box's of blood fish and bone = £4 in between xmas and new year, first time I've been in a poundland as its only opened the week before xmas in our town.

Although some of the stuff in there is a bargain it can be deceiving too. Be sure to compare the weights and contents of what you get with other places like Wilkos.

The blood fish and bone is a good example. It works out cheaper in Wilkinsons when you buy the 2 packs for £4 when you compare how much is in the packet compared to the quid shop.

Saying that though if you just want a small amount of something because you dont want to grow/store a lot of it, like in my case the tatties, poundland is superb.

There was also a thread on here that netto are doing fruit and veg seeds for only 19p a packet (advertised in the 6th Jan offer leaflet)

Although some people said they had checked and they werent in yet.

Might be worth a browse if you pass one out and about!

Popped in netto this morning, they are in; got a mixture of flowers & veg
